WE WERE SOLDIERS

Based on the book We Were Soldiers Once... And Young, which chronicled the first large unit battle of the Vietnam War. As filmmakers, were tasked with recreating a number of historical events.  Using the historical photography of co-author Joe Galloway, I recreated many period graphics and military insignia from 1965.  In many cases I worked directly with the soldiers who survived the battle.
