Studio 72, Inc. is the Los Angeles-based studio of artist, designer and filmmaker Clint Schultz.

 

 

CLINT SCHULTZ, pursued his art education at Randall High School in Amarillo, Texas before continuing his studies at Texas Tech University. Upon earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Clint was admitted to the graduate program at San Diego State University. He dedicated the next three years to serving as a graduate instructor while successfully completing his Master of Fine Arts degree.

With an enduring passion for filmmaking, Mr. Schultz ventured to Los Angeles to kickstart his career as an art department assistant. One pivotal opportunity led Clint to join the Art Department of Tom Sanders and Dan Dorrance, who were actively seeking a graphic designer for their upcoming feature. Clint's proficiency in both traditional and digital design secured him the position, marking his membership in the Art Directors Guild.

Since then, Clint has contributed his skills to over 70 feature films, serving roles as a Graphic Designer, Illustrator, and Production Designer. Notably, eleven of these films received Excellence in Production Design nominations, including Collateral, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Star Trek 2009, Angels & Demons, Cowboys & Aliens, Star Trek Into Darkness, Tomorrowland, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The House with a Clock in Its Walls, Top Gun: Maverick and The Fabelmans. Furthermore, two commercials directed by Spike Jonze (Apple HomePod: Welcome Home / Med Men: The New Normal) won the ADG award in the short format category in 2019 and 2020. The Fablemans received an Academy Award nomination for art direction in 2022.

Since 2014, Clint has actively participated in the Scenic, Title & Graphic Artists Council, where he currently serves as the Chairperson. Additionally, he has been a part of the ADG Board of Directors since 2020. Residing in Burbank, California, Mr. Schultz shares his home with his wife and daughter.
